 FUNDAMENTALS OF ACCOUNTING

TOPICS:

·        Set up an imaginary business. Make a list of assets you will have to buy, the amount of labour u will need. Categorize the expenses as capital or revenue.

·        Choose any three items which are normally available on hire purchase or rental items. Find out the cost of buying by cash, hire purchase or leasing for a year. Prepare a table find out findings. Explain the advantages and disadvantages for three of them.

·        Read any three blogs on accounting and analyse those blogs in your words.

·        Draw cartoon pictures (each member of group illustrates one cartoon) and explain the concept of accounting through it.

·        Organise an imaginary school function or exhibition. Work with your team and list down the costs which are involved in running the show. Also decide and calculate the revenue u will generate from this. Also decide how much profit u would like to earn and state how you will achieve it.

·        Explain accounting policies and differentiate the methods adopted by each company

·        Explain depreciation with different methods. Take any three companies 

·       Explain the concept of Limited Liability Company with its final accounts

·       Explain the concept of Non-profit making organisation by explaining with a case of any such organisation.
